New definition of "maintenance" for equipment used in explosive atmosphere.

IEC 60079-17:2013: Explosive atmosphere - Electrical installation and inspection

Maintenance: combination of any actions carried out to retain an item in, or restore it to conditions in which it is able to meet the requirements of the relevant specification and perform its required functions.

IEC 60079-17:2023

Maintenance: combination of routine actions taken to preserve the fully serviceable condition of the installed apparatus.

The updated definition is more aligned with the practical use of this term in any facilities.

This also helps Enduser easily distinguish the maintenance activities from repair and overhaul activities.

The requirement of repair and overhaul activities are written in a separated standard, IEC 60079-19.

We are happy to announce that our office has moved to Landmark 5, Vinhomes Central Park, 208 Nguyen Huu Canh St, Ward 22, Binh Thanh District, HCMC since September 2024. 

The Landmark 5 is located next to Landmark 81, the highest building of Vietnam with many entertaining services such as multiculture cuisine, varied entertainments, and convenient service apartment. 

Beside high qualification Ex training course from IECEx provided by TESV. We hope that participants will have relaxed and joyful time with the facilities here. The location is also very convenient for participants to travel between central districts.
