Position: Technical Instructor & Ex inspector

For: Vietnamese candidates

Department	Technical Department
Reports to	Designated Technical Authority / Director
Working location	TESV office, Client sites and project locations; travel may be required.
Employment type	The recruitment shall be started with a 6 months part-time contract as try out. Then, it shall be extended to a fulltime contract if candidate is qualified and happy to continue with TESV.
Role focus	Ex training delivery, Ex inspection execution and technical capability development.
Expected start date	Nov 2026

Job Summary:

I. Ex training delivery

1. Prepare and deliver Ex training modules in accordance with TESV course objectives, approved materials and applicable Ex standards.

2. Adapt explanations, examples and learning activities to participants with different levels of Ex knowledge, experience and professional background.

3. Use slides as a visual and systematic learning aid: simple structure, few words, clear logic and professional presentation.

4. Deliver clear messages with an energetic and understandable voice; use consistent Ex terminology and examples familiar to the participants.

5. Design and facilitate practical exercises with a clear objective, clear instructions, appropriate timing and meaningful feedback or discussion.

6. Evaluate participant understanding, identify learning gaps and adjust the teaching approach during the course.

7. Continuously improve slides, exercises, trainer notes and learner materials based on feedback, technical updates and project experience.

II. Ex inspection

1. Participate in Ex inspection work at Client sites, workshops, plants, offshore facilities or other project locations.

2. Perform visual, close and detailed inspection activities.

3. Communicate technical findings professionally with the Client and escalate uncertain, high-risk or out-of-scope matters to the TESV Technical Authority.

III. Other Ex activities

Other Ex relevant activities up on additional guidance and assignment.

IV. Working time

1. For 6 months part-time period:

   1. 3 days per week.

   2. Additional working time if any shall be up on further agreement.

2. For full-time period: as TESV working policy.

V. Qualifications and experience

1. Engineering degree, or equivalent professional qualification in electrical, automation or a closely related discipline.

2. Minimum 5 years of industrial experience relevant to Ex equipment, especially envolving Ex installation, Ex maintenance, Ex inspection or  Ex commissioning, Ex repair.

3. Demonstrate practical experience with Ex stallation, Ex maintenance and Ex inspection.

4. Show good oral and written skills for training delivery, technical documents, standards, emails and client communication.

5. Professional Vietnamese and sufficient English.

6. Willingness to travel and work at client/project sites, including industrial or offshore environments when medically fit, competent and formally assigned.

7. Applicant who possesses IECEx CoPC certificate is advantage.
