EXAM INSTRUCTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- IECEx CoPC: The IECEx Certification of Personnel Competence Scheme is the first international scheme aimed at providing personnel with a worldwide recognized certificate. Ex 009 – DESIGN INSTALLATION IN OR ASSOCIATED WITH EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES: This unit of competence covers the explosion-protection aspects of designing electrical power, control and instrumentation systems and installations. This unit of competence is based on IEC 60079-14 other standards those may apply. PREREQUISITE: Participants must have IECEx certification in unit 001 Basic protection principles for Ex protection. A minimum 3 years’ experience in general electrical installation design or supervised hazardous area installation design. WHO SHOULD APPLY UNIT Ex 009? You can refer to the example of a typical list of positions found in the Ex industry associated with the recommended Units of Competence: https://www.tesv.no/faq HOW TO APPLY: https://www.tesv.no/iecex-copc-application-assessment EXAM INFORMATION: The examination is in English and includes both theoretical and practical questions. Examination duration: 7 hours and 30 minutes. The pass mark is at least 75%. On passing the examination, candidates will be issued with an IECEx Certificate of Personnel Competence.
